FireShot, an extension for Firefox, enables the capture and conversion of an entire web page rendered as an image file. It’s a pretty useful extension, since it captures the entire page, instead of using a screenshot application and taking shot after shot of a long page. It is a pretty small download too, weighing in at about 950 kB. So, if you find yourself needing to explain to someone about navigating a page or site (not too many of those around, but believe me, some do ask!) then this extension is for you!

Well, as you can see, I’ve (somewhat) successfully made the switch to WordPress 2.3, though I am still getting some database errors. It’s getting pretty late, so I guess I’ll have to leave it for now and work on it later. Perhaps it’s an issue with K2? There goes my sleep.

I don’t know why, but FileZilla just got updated a couple of days ago. Trying to find out what changed is like finding a needle in a Linux geek’s beard. Ah well, go grab it now. I’m sure it has some bugfix slapped on somewhere.
WordPress just released version 2.3 of their popular blogging application and me, being the upgrade junkie that I am, will be riding the wave of early adopters. So, in preparation to upgrade, please expect some downtime between posts as I backup my current WP database and files. Please come back later if you are getting 404’s, thanks. Wish me luck!
Freshly minted for your FTP enjoyment, FileZilla 3.0.0 has just been released. I just had a quick spin in it and it looks and feels like the old FileZilla that we’ve gotten so used to. Mind you, this is not an upgrade, so you might need to enter saved sites again. Oh well, shouldn’t be too much effort, since I only use FileZilla to upload files to my hosting account. So, what are you waiting for? Grab it now. Download FileZilla 3.0.0 here.
