JPop: lecca: Otaku Girls no Utage

Let me introduce you to lecca (strangely lowercase, none of that formal names for this girl). She’s Japanese and she makes super catchy dancehall JReggae. She’s been around since 2005, with her debut, Fire. I didn’t manage to listen to any of her earlier albums. What I do have is her latest album, Otaku Girls no Utage . If I am not mistaken, Otaku Girls no Utage should mean “Homegirls’ Songs Banquet” or something to that effect. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Anyway, the tracks on Otaku Girls no Utage are very catchy and cheerful. Attached below is a sample of the second track, Starting line for your enjoyment. It’s pretty catchy, and if it doesn’t bore a hole into your skull, then you’re dead to me. Click play to check it out.

If you can read Japanese, check out the JP Wiki for lecca.

Edit: Farkdammit, it looks like my blog can’t handle Japanese characters properly at all.
