In my last post, I left you at the end, saying that I’ll try using 1-Click. Well, in short, it didn’t work. Well, so much for brash consumer confidence and irrational exuberance. Oh well, too bad for them then. Won’t see a penny (or 89 pennies) of my hard-earned money then. Also, there’s always BitTorrent, so no love lost here.
Do you hear that, RIM? Instead of going after people pirating your crap, why don’t you concentrate on what’s important, giving the consumer what they want. I don’t want RM50 albums filled with only one or two songs that I want to listen and the rest padded with disposable filler crap. I want RM0.99 MP3 downloads. Give me that and you might see a slight pick-up in sales. I mean, come on, who still listens to CD?

To be fair, there are ways to legally purchase digital music in Malaysia, Bluehyppo being one of them. I checked out their site and it has a pretty decent collection online. But (there is always a but), the tracks there are only available in DRM-ed WMA files that can only be played on Windows Media Player, so the non-Windows people are SOL.
